Abstract

Saraiki poetry is saturated with multi dimensional subjects; mysticism, romanticism and resistance are the dominant among them. At present, resistance and cultural revival are the regional topics of Saraiki poetry and it plays a role in bridging a link between poets and the Wasebi (Local) people. This research article analyzed the elements of resistance and attempted to explore the different shades of resistance in poetry. As language is considered the key to culture, same is the case of poetry in expressing emotions which highlights regional deprivations and links up poetry with social cause!
