District Jehlum (Punjab) is blessed with numerous Sufi poets and religious scholars. Hafiz Nazar Hussain Shad Farooqi (1928-2017) is one of the notable literary and religious personalities hailed from Jehlum. His father Molana Muhammad Abdul Majeed (1885-1962) is also a renowned punjabi poet. Shad Farooqi was a prolific Sufi poet but his name remained out of sight. His main poetic reference is "Kafi". He left behind a vast literary asset in Punjabi, Urdu and Persian.  Most of his Punjabi poetry has yet not been published. This article, not only produces his biography and personality but also introduces his writings/books (manuscripts). This study also   helps to understand his poetic nature and unique style of his art.
