Abstract
The story of Yousuf and Zulekha finds its actual origin from the Holy Quran which is narrated as "Ahsan-ul-Qassas" (The best of Quranic Febbles). The story of Hazrat Yousuf and Zulekha has been narrated in 03 Surah's of The Holy Quran namely, Yousuf, Al-Inaam and Al-Momin. Imaam Ghazali was the first person who wrote it in Arabic. After that this real story was touched upon in different languages in poetic and prosaic form. Based on the events of hometown 'Kinaan' of Hazrat Yaqoob (A.S) and land of Egypt, the poets have treated it with a local touch and flavor in such a manner that it seems to be the story of 'Wasaib'. This research article is an introductory study of the selected poets and their stories who have worked on this real story in their particular styles.
